Examples of practical actions taken by local churches

Individual churches have done many green things  since we reported on the Christian Ecology Link Millennium Certificate in 2000 (The certificate was first devised in 1997  exactly 20 years ago)

It is inspiring to hear what individual churches are doing.  This page is just a taster, selected by your webeditor. Send us your news if you have stories to share.

And if you haven’t entered all ready, do enter for one of these:-
Eco Church  (an award scheme designed for churches in England and Wales) or
Eco-Congregation (for churches in Scotland, Ireland, Norway, Canada, Hungary, USA) or
Livesimply (for Catholic churches in England and Wales and supported by CAFOD).
These projects give awards and publicity to churches that have done green things, and most importantly, encourage others.
